Big adjustments I made

Nowadays, Filipinos are worldwide workers because of our abilities, capabilities, integrity, intelligence, knowledge and English proficiencies. I am an OFW´s or Overseas Filipino Workers. I am one of those Filipino professionals who went out of the country for a greener pasture as they say.And now I am here in Europe and I found out that living away from home is really hard. First when I arrived here I have to adjust myself in many things:
- weather
I arrived here during winter. The temperature is minimum of 0 degrees so I have to wear minimum of 3 clothes including thick jacket while in the PHilippines throughout the year the weather is so hot especially in Manila.
- time
Time is 7 hours later during winter and 6 hours during spring and summer compared to our time in the Philippines. My sleeping time is the the waking time of the people in there.
-language
I have to learn the language or else I can´t get job. Though my English is good, its not an asset because its not a requirement for my job. What is important is I can speak their language. This really hard for me to learn the language but eventually I learn the language little by little.
-Culture
Culture is also different and during summer here I experienced "Culture Shocked" seeing people naked in the beaches of Barcelona or seeing people having their rally naked.
- Food
Wow, food....at first its really hard for me to adjust with their foods. In the Philippines the staple food is rice and we eat rice 3 times a day but here...wow really wow because their staple food is vegetable salad and sometimes pasta with just salt and olive oil. Sometimes I cooked rice also but the way how to cook rice is also different from how we prepare our rice. Its good we have day off during Saturday and Sunday where we can prepare our own Filipino foods at home. And I am forced to eat meat I didn´t try in the Philippines like beef, goat, rabbit lamb and duck. And the beefsteak...cook as rare still bloody but in fairness its delicious.
